PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
TINUTA dispenses courses, internship and seminaries concerning
Author
Rights and Musical Publishing :
TINUTA regularly organizes 2 days seminaries in Paris, aiming to teach
all "actors" of the music world who want to know the basics of Copyrights, Author Rights, and to give
them the keys of first understanding of the Music Publishing Profession.
The seminaries are open to everybody. Deeper seminaries on theses
themes can be organized on demand, as well as special courses.
TINUTA is registered as “Organisme de Formation” (Official Professional
Training Organism) since 2004 under N° of activity 1175 3922 775, delivered by
the Local Department of Working Ministry.
This
allows participants to get partial or total refund of the cost of the internship

the moral right, the patrimonial rights.

How to protect and to register them.
The SACEM & SDRM Collecting Rights Societies.
Their functional, their departments.
The reading of statements & their
verification.
- The Publisher of Music: definition of
his role duties and activities.
The publishing transfer of rights contract. The
advances. The “First Option Agreement”. The publisher's other contracts. What is
“The private Copy” ? The law that frames it, its application. The international.
The rights coming from abroad and the sub-publishing. The Anglo-Saxon law. The
Copyright. Reading of a Statement of Royalties. The management of a publishing catalog
or a publishing company. The on line music offer. The legal sites. Problems of
piracy.
Many newcomers within the music
profession participated in this internship, as well as adults in professional
reorientation.
We also recorded the registration of
several artists managers wanting to better know this indispensable part of the
profession, as well as show business lawyers willing to better understand their
experts who they often call on the subject.
This "melting pot" of
experiences always led to meetings and fruitful exchanges.
